On November 20, 1989, was adopted the Children's Rights Convention.
11 years later, the question of children's rights is still an issue.
We came across the idea to create a strong symbol representing Children's
Rights : a Totem.
And so was born a sculpture
:
" The Children's Rights Totem". And so was born a sculpture

" The Child's Rights Totem".
Symbol to ten fundamental Children's Rights, the main goal of this
totem is to promulgate
the Children's Rights Convention worldwide.
France, the country
where Human Rights were declared, will be hosting in Paris,
the first Totem, on November 20
20 novembre 2000

This Totem, whose vocation
is universal, should later be represented on each continent :
in Europe, in America, in Asia, in Oceania, in Africa and in Antartica.
Objective : six grand Totem around the world.
Each child will appropriate
the Totem by taking part in its évolution :
building it as well as maintenancing it. Altogether an initiation
and play journey,
it is meant to be for children a place where they can meet on equal
grounds,
share and exchange theirs ideas and points of views.
The Totem for Children's
Rights is financed and sponsored by
the Mairie de Paris concerning Children's Rights day.
The Totem was created
and realised by SIGN7, painter.
